Deanne Friesen is a seasoned leader with 15+ years in senior and executive management roles with a number of not-for-profit and government organizations.  Through her experience, Deanne has established a track record of excellence in execution having lead numerous Organizational Change, Business Process Improvement, Organizational Design and Organizational Development initiatives.

Deanne is a graduate of the University of Fredericton’s Master of Business Administration Program specializing in Global Management. She also holds a Bachelor’s and Graduate degree in psychology from Acadia University and The University of Alberta respectively. Characterized by peers as having a unique ability to use consensus building approaches to address complex issues, Deanne has successfully led large scale people, process and technology initiatives.   She uses proactive business analysis to demonstrate where gaps in service or other opportunities for improvement may exist. She is an expert at managing change through communication, and can effectively bring together groups with competing interests to find mutually agreeable ways achieve the desired business outcomes.

Deanne is an active member of the community and is currently involved with the Boys and Girls Club/Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lobster Lovers annual fundraiser.  Deanne enjoys travelling and finds time to visit her home province of Newfoundland at least once a year.  She lives in Edmonton with her husband and daughter.
