As a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience, Myka’s career has focused on start-ups, change and growth initiatives. She has worked with public and private enterprises, as an executive and a consultant, and also has a passion for family businesses (having owned two family businesses in Northern Alberta and Edmonton). Myka is WMC’s Office Managing Director in Calgary.

Myka is known as someone who brings people together to execute on ambitious visions and agendas, and as an expert communicator. She has a history of building highly effective teams and helping organizations navigate significant change and transformation.

Myka holds a BSc in Speech-Language Pathology and an MBA, both from the University of Alberta. She has completed the Ivey School of Business Community Shift™ Executive Leadership program, the Harvard Executive Education Negotiation Intensive, and she is a Prosci™ certified change management professional.

Strategic Advisory

Myka is an expert facilitator and strategic advisor. She has deep experience providing support and advice to boards and senior leaders, and helping organizations develop strategy and implementation plans. She is known for her focus on outcomes and for helping bring clarity to complex problems.

Operations & Performance Improvement

As a senior executive, Myka has helped organizations go from “good to great”. She helps her clients better understand their organizations through comprehensive operational and organizational structure analyses, and program and service reviews. She works with senior leaders to provide measurable pathways to high impact outcomes: innovation, leadership and accountability, external relationships, and internal culture and work environments.

Organizational Change Management

Myka has a passion for transformation and disruption, and has a history of leading and helping clients increase value. She has lead organizations through changes both small and large, focusing on a structured approach, operating model changes, comprehensive change communications and effective stakeholder management. She is a Prosci certified change management professional.

People Services

Myka is known for developing connected advisor relationships with senior leaders and boards based on a foundation of trust. She advises on governance, external relations, reputation and crisis management, strategy, operations, and personal leadership development. At the board level, Myka focuses on ensuring that boards are strongly engaged, governed optimally, and have a clear strategy and direction to enable and support organizational performance and effective leadership. She is available to provide interim executive leadership services, preparing teams for transition, ensuring that financial and operational performance is optimized, and helping boards make the next leadership choice.
