Alan has conducted CEO and senior management level executive searches for over 20 years in a variety of functional areas including marketing, lending services, human resources and information technology, focusing on the financial and not for profit and association sectors. Having conducted literary hundreds of searches, he understands the critical importance of finding candidates with the right blend of experience, talent and most importantly aligning “fit” with the clients’ corporate culture.
At WMC’s Toronto office, Alan puts his leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of financial services to use, specializing in senior level assignments for credit unions, banks, insurance companies and companies that service the financial services sector.
An experienced executive, Alan began his career in the international banking group of the Toronto Dominion Bank. He held senior level positions in both the comptroller‘s division and the corporate and investment banking group. He then joined Central1, a trade association serving credit unions in Ontario and British Columbia, as Vice President Human Resources and Development. When Central1 spun off a separate consulting entity (CCG), Alan was appointed Executive Vice President and Managing Partner of CCG Management Consultants.
Alan earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey school of Business at Western University, Ontario and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA). Alan attended the Harvard Business School where he received a certificate in Human Resources Management and Managing Professional Services firms. He is a past member of the Ivey Alumni Board where he was Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee. Alan currently sits on the Membership Committee of The National Club.
Alan is a proud father of two children. He and his wife are great art enthusiasts and regularly attend exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM).
