Helen has been guiding her clients’ organizational change for over a decade. Prior to joining WMC, Helen served the people of Ontario as a Chief Executive Officer at provincial agencies and Chief Administrative Officer with justice ministries.

Leveraging her extensive experience, Helen specializes in assisting clients in the public sector and not-for profit organizations. She brings unique insight and expertise in board governance, strategic planning and change implementation to help clients build high performance organizations and attract and retain the best talent. She embeds the values of diversity and inclusivity when advising leaders how to become employers of choice.

Helen is a published author of “Strategic Planning for Associations and Not-for-Profit Organizations”. She was profiled as a Leader in Action in DiverseCity Counts 2010, for the Greater Toronto Area, a project undertaken by Ryerson University. She is a much sought after seminar facilitator, speaker and panelist on issues such as board effectiveness and strategic planning. In 2008, she received the Strategic Leadership Forum’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership.

Helen volunteers her time in the health care and education sectors. She is currently on the Board of Directors, Sunnybrook Health Sciences. She served as former Chair of the Board of Governors of Seneca College of Applied Arts and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care.

As well as her commitment to her board leadership work, she mentors young professionals in their career goals. Helen is dedicated to her family; one is a budding lawyer and the other is studying at university away from home. Helen enjoys yoga and hiking and considers herself a lifelong student of golf.
