Kataneh is a Director within WMC’s Vancouver office with a focus in HR Advisory and Talent Management. Her core competency is in helping leadership teams to recruit, retain and reward their biggest asset; its people. With extensive experience supporting HR practices locally, nationally and internationally, her strength is in her ability to connect people strategy and practices with business priorities. Having interviewed and coached professionals at all levels and across all industries in her career (equating to having had in-depth conversations with over 10,000 people), she is able to quickly identify skill gaps and true interest levels.
While at WMC, Kataneh has led numerous searches on behalf of clients across wide range of industries. She has helped leadership teams in the development of HR strategy, culture mapping and the development of talent management practices. She also continues to provide leadership and performance coaching services to a wide range of companies within the private and public sector. What clients have appreciated most about Kataneh is her down-to-earth style combined with her understanding of the need to be flexible in managing projects and client needs. Prior to WMC, Kataneh worked at Odgers Berndtson as a Consultant assisting with Executive Level recruitment; as Senior Consultant within Deloitte’s Human Capital practice working in Vancouver, Toronto and the Middle East; and as HR Associate within CIBC’s HR leadership program where she worked alongside VPs within the Toronto, London UK and Vancouver business lines in the areas of Global Compensation, World Markets 360 Reviews, Global Performance Management roll-out and Employee Relations. Kataneh’s experiences also includes speaking engagements on panels and to universities (York University and UBC) on HR related topics.
Kataneh holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC, a certificate in International Business Management from HEC in Paris, an MBA from McGill University, and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. She is also active in community projects including involvement in grass root projects, sitting on boards and as co-founder of a non-profit.
