At WMC, Lenka leads the firm’s Innovation Practice, focusing on companies and organizations in the Innovation value chain. As an Executive Search Consultant Lenka addresses the human capital needs of growth-oriented ventures and established companies alike.

Lenka believes gold-standard methodologies are table stakes in executive search and strives instead to add value by mitigating risk for her clients through careful attention to context, the inter-relationships of the team and a dialed-in approach to targeting. At WMC Lenka is further able to leverage the firm’s capabilities in Organizational Development, Change Management, Leadership Assessment and Development; a full suite of value-added services, to their benefit.
Lenka has a wealth of expertise in executive search with foundational experience gained working for some of the leading international search firms where she conducted executive level searches for F500 clients across North America in Technology, Life Sciences, CPG and Financial Services.
Moving beyond the mainstream, Lenka recognized Cleantech as a burgeoning “sector” more than a decade ago, launched a practice around it and subsequently her own firm. Focusing on the broader innovation ecosystem she has become a connector of people and resources between centres of excellence and innovation, funding agencies and incumbent industries, sourcing and securing talent and laying the foundation for accelerated growth and organizational transformation.
Lenka has always pushed the boundaries of search and sought best practices – introducing the ‘in-house’ model to one of Deloitte’s national practice groups; provided talent management to high-potential business professionals from top consulting firms and marquee companies; rolling out Six Sigma recruiting practices for CIBC.
Lenka earned Honours degrees in International Relations and History with the intention of joining the Foreign Service. Instead a sojourn into search has led to a career full of continued learning on subjects and sectors far removed from her studies, and far from plain vanilla. Global affairs remain an interest, coupled with a multitude of outdoor pursuits on and off the water. Lenka has chaired fundraising events on behalf of children’s charities, and currently sits on the board of a non-profit sports organization.
