On behalf of our client, the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority (TransLink), we are seeking a strategic and highly effective individual for the position of Manager, Talent Acquisition.
With a public transit service area spanning more than 1,800 square kilometres, Translink delivers a wide range of services and programs to provide for the transportation needs of Metro Vancouver residents and businesses. Services include an extensive bus system throughout the region, SkyTrain rapid transit, SeaBus passenger ferries, West Coast Express commuter rail, and HandyDART for passengers who are unable to use conventional transit. Reporting to the Director, Organization Development and Employee Relations, this newly created position offers the opportunity to build and lead the talent acquisition and recruitment services function for the enterprise. Working in a client-centered and collaborative environment, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will create and advance a proactive talent acquisition strategy, lead a team of recruiters and will partner with business leaders to foster a forward-looking, integrated and streamlined approach to service delivery.
This strategic role will encompass workforce planning, employer branding, strategic sourcing, assessment and selection, workforce segmentation, compliance, talent metrics and outsourcing.
The ideal candidate will bring advanced knowledge of best practices pertaining to human resources with demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, campaign planning and recruitment and selection. A proven leader, the candidate will have successfully partnered with, and provided guidance to, diverse stakeholder groups. Required experience includes working in large and complex organizations with both exempt and unionized staff combined with expertise in the relevant legislation.
An applicable undergraduate degree combined with 7 years progressively advanced experience in talent acquisition is required including 3 years at a leadership level. A CPHR designation is preferred.
