Mike Hughes is a Senior Consultant with WMC’s Calgary office.  With 25+ years of international industry experience, Mr Hughes has been involved in many different roles and functions during his career and has widespread experience in designing and implementing major change programs at all company levels, across multiple company functions and in many different industry verticals.

Over the course of his multi-disciplinary career, Mike has gained hands-on experience with the management of different asset classes, particularly information, facilities, people and linear infrastructure and has planned and executed major change programs in these areas.  Topic areas where Mike has specific skills include strategic planning; risk management; IT strategy and governance; organizational change management; and network analysis and experience design.  To these work areas Mike brings an innovate approach, frequently employing leading edge techniques and thinking to deliver greater value to Clients.  This broad base of experience enables Mike to act as a key advisor to Clients on a range of complex, strategic change initiatives, tailoring the approach in order to maximize the Client’s success.

Mike holds a BSc honors degree from Kings College London, UK and a number of additional certifications; Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation from the Canadian Association of Management Consultants; Certified in the Enterprise Governance of IT (CGEIT) by ISACA; Certified Change Manager, certified in accordance with PROSCI methodologies and tools and a Co-Pilot™ Certified Business Coach.

Mike lives in Calgary where he enjoys the mountains in both winter and summer and pursues a variety of arts and technology related interests.  His pro-bono work is mostly focused on Arts/Theatre and Education organizations.
