Areas of Expertise
Ted Stedman has over 30 years of Information Technology experience, 23 with consulting firms including 12 as an executive with a major regional consulting firm. His experience includes both private and public sectors. For eight years he was responsible for the delivery risk management function for Sierra Systems including oversight of large proposals, contracts, and project delivery. He is an expert in assessing and evaluating the status of complex multi-stakeholder projects and then working with the project team to ensure the project is successfully delivered.
Mr. Stedman also has five years’ of experience as Vice President of Information Technology for Sierra Systems and two years of I.T. management experience for a major western Canadian retailer. He is experienced in setting priorities, allocating budget, managing competing pressures, and overall management of the I.T. portfolio of projects, systems, and infrastructure.
Key to his approach in all engagements is his ability to work with a diverse group of people which is combined with strong communication skills to build consensus and team alignment. The objective of every assignment is not only to successfully complete the project but also to make the team a success.
Mr. Stedman’s education includes a B.Sc. in Computer Science from UBC, and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario (Dean’s list). He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and was awarded an FCMC (Fellow) in 2003.
