Robert Brassard brings a depth of consulting experience in both the private and public sectors. He specializes in leading Organizational Change, Operational Effectiveness and Performance Management, Program Management, Board Governance, Strategic Planning, Information Technology and Process redesign. He is also known for a focus on execution as he has successfully implemented more than $150 million in technology and business transformation initiatives.
Robert is a strategic leader with 25 years of combined operating, general and executive management experience and has a track record of success within the power and utility industries. He is a former Senior Executive of Capital Power and EPCOR Utilities. Over his career he has had several executive-level positions, including SVP Corporate Strategy and Planning, VP Operations, and Chief Information Officer (CIO). He has successfully managed large-scale operations and developed expertise in operational excellence and project delivery. Robert is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s General Management Program, possesses a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Economics from the University of Alberta and earned Graduate degrees from both the University of Alberta and the University of Manitoba. Robert has also completed his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and is a Project Management Professional (PMP).
Robert is active in the community. He is currently serving on the Board of the YMCA of Northern Alberta and is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee. He has also served as the Chair, Environmental and Energy Policy Committee at the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, the Conference Board of Canada Council of CIO’s, and as a Board member at the Strathcona Industrial Association.
Robert lives in St. Albert with his wife and two children.
